No More Analgesics for Fiascos, Mediocrity, and Lukewarmness!

‘The mediocre formulate a life purpose but does not fulfill it. He remains in desire without sin, but without effort and without sacrifice’+

Mimetized among the urban fauna, entrepreneurs of bucolic ideas, sailors of artificial boats without sea, bureaucrats of steppe offices, sportsmen twitching to thrust, acclaimed troubadours of solitary showers or lazy soldiers of armies of industrious ants, anywhere on earth you can find mediocre, fiascos and lukewarm people.

The mediocre mortuaries, those who produce a little on the right and steal a little on the left, those who pray when it suits them, curse the inconvenience and forget the favors received. Those who have material successes that proclaim with elaborated images, those that accumulate and distribute only what is left over, those that they hoard, forget and restart each day without having learned anything. Those who sell the empty fruit peel, who paint it, change it and distribute it as if it were a big deal, when they have nothing. Those who idealize the immanent moment without caring about the transcendence.

The morally lukewarm who are full of scruples and misgivings for others, envy and politeness, prejudices and qualifications of contempt. Fainthearted that do not get up and fight. That they are frustrated like fishermen who hate the dawn, or as mathematicians who are enemies of sums, artists of destruction or unproductive craftmen. Like lions with no hunting instinct or salmon disaffected with swimming, immobile sunflowers, eggplant flight condors and pizza galaxies.

Failed fiascos, mediocre, lukewarm people.

“I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, ‘I am rich and affluent and have no need of anything,’ and yet do not realize that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked…»

(Revelation 3, 15–17)

Day dreamers, mirror bullies, shadow fighters that walk around unmotivated, disinterested, and pessimistic. They circulate apathetic, irresponsible, trivialized, giving up easily, hugging their cowardice (mild and worldly companion), always so welcome. No matter what level they perceive themselves at or what rating others have placed on them, each one regardless of his condition has an antidote to his condition.

  1. Do not fear. Fear leads to doubt and doubt to despair.
  2. Get out of the caverns of subsistence.
  3. Take courage, claim your own and make mistakes.
  4. Go towards others by doing the ordinary extraordinarily well.
  5. Follow the North consigned in the compasses of the human spirit.
  6. Take the path by doing good.
  7. Live on the edge, leave everything! promptly and without pause.

The gentle breeze sings moved and happy that the wait is over. Do not be afraid, open the doors, unfold them! Come out of the dark and cold confines. Take courage from the sun that illuminates everything, from its warmth, go to the people, the crowds and hoist your hope like a banner. It is time to uplift the sails and go out to sea! It is time to return to the lost narrow path! It is the day to light up and cheer up because while there is life there is hope!

Today is the moment they leave (Now!) the spiritual analgesics that do not heal, that only appease the inescapable. No more dressings on bleeding hearts! No more talcum powder on dull minds! No more hot pads on cold souls!
